Who We Are

After the eBay IPO in 1998, Pam and Pierre Omidyar set out to create positive social change through learning, experimentation, and philanthropy. Today, their work lives on through a collection of mission-driven organizations, each independently led and guided by its own board. Though no longer involved in daily operations, the Omidyars remain deeply committed as these organizations continue to create new approaches to social change in partnership with others.

Her vision is a world where everyone thrives.

“Our starting point begins with deep listening and learning that considers the knowledge, perspectives, and collective wisdom from the people and places where we work. We consider the many narratives that exist, particularly those likely to go unheard.”
